Looking forward to a special "B" week where we continue our "Bible" stories with Mrs. Jernigan. We will read a sweet story of Easter - Benjamin's Box. Each student will create their own Benjamin's Box to bring home and share the Easter Story with their family. Students will also read Blueberries for Sal- a wonderful classic!
Conferences went well. Thank you for your authentic hearts for your children and their spiritual and academic growth. Rhonda and I feel extremely blessed to have had this year with your families.

Important Dates for next two weeks!
March 20th - 10:45 - Birthday Blessings for Ryan and Annily! Thanks, Anne Marie
and Amberly for being a part. For the rest of the moms in the class...please make plans to join us for Birthday Blessings for your child, even if your child has summer birthday. Email us to schedule. Thanks!
March 21st - Conferences - No School for Kindergarten-2nd.
March 28th - April 8th - Easter and Spring Break.
We look forward to meeting with you this week (and next)! We have many wonderful things to share. It has been encouraging to do March assessments! The children have come so far, especially since January.
Bible - The last month, Mrs. Jernigan has been reading straight through the Old Testament
with the children. The kids are incredibly engaged and are asking amazing questions. It has become Mrs. Lee's favorite time of the day. This is the way it should be!
Phonics - After attending Early Literacy and Phonics classes the last 6 weeks, I have reworked our Phonics plans to include some foundational phonics principles that must be
in place for reading readiness and decoding. Your child is creating a card stack of the 26 phonemes (sounds) and practicing through multi-sensory activities. Honestly, I can already see a difference. Ask your child to motion the 5 vowel sounds. I'll be glad to explain more in conferences. I am very excited about the future of this at our school! Thanks Amberly, for your encouragement in this area!
