Message from our Headmaster:

The tragic shooting in Connecticut today calls us as believers to prayer for the overwhelming grief that now abides there, and to a heightened awareness of our need to ramp up our actions to secure our own students' safety where that is humanly possible.  Our prayers cross into the realm of supernatural security as well.

May we all work together to do the little things, no matter how inconvenient, to be diligent in our observations, careful in our driving, and bold in our initiatives to confront and report potential breaches in security.  As a school administration, we recommit to do all we can, and trust we will all do our best together to make Perimeter School a safe place for our covenant children and teachers. Thanks for your prayers and support.

Bobby Scott
for all our staff

Please know that though Rhonda and I will pray fervently for the families of Sandy Hook Elementary, we will not discuss this tragedy with your children at school.  I have spoken with a couple of you this weekend and understand that this is your desire.   As I have told my own children that attend PCS - Perimeter Church is a safe place, we have security present from 6:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. and we do have a emergency plan in place.

For the children's sake, we plan to keep things focused and joyful on the Birth of our Savior.  Please contact us with any concerns.

Day by Day Information -

Monday, December 17th - regular school day
5:45 p.m.  - Annily's Birthday Party for Jesus, Mrs. Lee's house, 195 Fernly Park Dr,

Allyson, Jennifer and Alex will be available to help children dress for rehearsal.

Wednesday, December 19th - Christmas Pageant, 11:00 a.m., Church Fellowship Hall
We will spend the morning doing Christmas activities, ready Jacob's Gift, and playing outside.  Several moms are sending healthy snacks. Please send a water bottle.  Remember to have your child bring or wear the items listed above.  Jennifer, Allyson and Alex will help with putting children into costumes.  All kindergarten classes will leave the Fellowship Hall after the pageant and may be picked up in the classroom after changing.  We will not be having refreshments in the room this year following the pageant.

Thursday December 20th, Service Project, 8:30 a.m.-12 noon
Your children should be dropped off at regular time.  Our class will be serving the Security Staff at Perimeter Church.  Our lead parents have planned a wonderful morning that will encourage and bless.  Thank you Allyson for your Friday email.  You will receive email from Alex letting you know which items to send for goody bags that are being made for the security staff.  If possible, let's plan to do a "few minutes before noon pick up" since the entire school will be released at noon.

We love your children incredibly and count it a blessing to share in this special week with your families.  Praying that we can be a tiny part of encouraging their love of our Savior that came to earth so that we might know Him.  Rhonda and Kay

G Week - Jacob's Gift

Week of December 3-6

Happy First Day of December!  We hope that you will enjoy the Countdown Chain and Scripture Calendar (that can be used with your child's chain)...as you celebrate the birth of Jesus over the next month.

Most of the kindergarten teachers sent home letters detailing the reasons that we only discuss the birth of Christ in Celebration of Christmas in our kindergarten program.  Honestly, we know your hearts, Christ is your family's focus for the season and we know that you will encourage your child to keep this focus when they are at school.  We will say, "we have so much to talk about Jesus' birth that we don't have time to talk about anything else at school".....so no discussion of Santa, elves, etc. at school.

You will be receiving a special invitation from Annily this week inviting you to a Christmas Caroling party that she has planning for the last month.  For planning purposes...put December 17th on your calendar for a Christmas Caroling and birthday party for Jesus...with everyone bringing a gently used or new toy, coat, etc. that will be donated to those in need.  The party will be at Mrs. Lee's (close to school/Church) and will begin around 6:00 on the 17th.  Please bring siblings!

Thank  you Sandra and Kevin Jones and Amberly Deavours for being our awesome November Parents of the Month.   You went above and beyond.  Thank you for the supplies, food, reading, helping with feast, etc. etc.

As you have heard, our class will be the animals of the Nativity for the Christmas pageant.
You will receive a photo of your child's costume this week.  Also, we will record our version of the "Friendly Beasts" and send to you by email so that you can download on your computer for practice at home.  Please make plans to attend our Christmas Pageant on December 19th at 11:00 in the Church Fellowship Hall.  Invite grandparents, aunts, cousins and friends.  We always have a packed house.  It's wonderful.  My in-laws drive from North Georgia every year to see our 13 minute long pageant.  It's one of their favorite holiday traditions.

We love your children.  Have a blessed Sunday and first week of December.
