G Week - Jacob's Gift

Week of December 3-6

Happy First Day of December!  We hope that you will enjoy the Countdown Chain and Scripture Calendar (that can be used with your child's chain)...as you celebrate the birth of Jesus over the next month.

Most of the kindergarten teachers sent home letters detailing the reasons that we only discuss the birth of Christ in Celebration of Christmas in our kindergarten program.  Honestly, we know your hearts, Christ is your family's focus for the season and we know that you will encourage your child to keep this focus when they are at school.  We will say, "we have so much to talk about Jesus' birth that we don't have time to talk about anything else at school".....so no discussion of Santa, elves, etc. at school.

You will be receiving a special invitation from Annily this week inviting you to a Christmas Caroling party that she has planning for the last month.  For planning purposes...put December 17th on your calendar for a Christmas Caroling and birthday party for Jesus...with everyone bringing a gently used or new toy, coat, etc. that will be donated to those in need.  The party will be at Mrs. Lee's (close to school/Church) and will begin around 6:00 on the 17th.  Please bring siblings!

Thank  you Sandra and Kevin Jones and Amberly Deavours for being our awesome November Parents of the Month.   You went above and beyond.  Thank you for the supplies, food, reading, helping with feast, etc. etc.

As you have heard, our class will be the animals of the Nativity for the Christmas pageant.
You will receive a photo of your child's costume this week.  Also, we will record our version of the "Friendly Beasts" and send to you by email so that you can download on your computer for practice at home.  Please make plans to attend our Christmas Pageant on December 19th at 11:00 in the Church Fellowship Hall.  Invite grandparents, aunts, cousins and friends.  We always have a packed house.  It's wonderful.  My in-laws drive from North Georgia every year to see our 13 minute long pageant.  It's one of their favorite holiday traditions.

We love your children.  Have a blessed Sunday and first week of December.
